Fans of Little House on the Prairie might think that Ma and Pa had only daughters, including Mary, Laura, Carrie, and Grace. However, in between Carrie and Grace, the couple had their first and only son, Charles Frederick, in November 1875. Tragically, Freddie, as he was called, lived for only a short time.They shared meaningful conversation, kind words, and spent a great deal of time just being together.
